The MYELOMA INFECTION SCORE CALCULATOR was developed to overcome two biases in the reporting of infections.
- Typically, only one infection is recorded for each individual patient in clinical trials, although a patient may have multiple episodes during the course of treatment or follow-up
- The length of follow-up varies from study to study, making it difficult to directly compare infections rates between studies.
When you enter your patients' data into the electronic database, the system will provide you with a summary of infectious episodes, grade and pathogen per month and per patient (or number of patients).
The results will also be availabla in graphical form.
